Submissions for the Film Festival “Listazpad” are closed!

A little more than a month is left until the main film event of the Belarusian autumn but even now the XXVII Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad” justifies its loud motto "Cinema is a symphony of unity".
Acceptance of applications was closed on October 1. This year more than 300 applications from 54 countries were registered, including the CIS countries, and the widest geography of foreign filmmakers, including: Cuba, Venezuela, Philippines, Indonesia, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Japan, Portugal, Canada, China, India, Lebanon and a lot others.
The greatest interest among directors and representatives of film companies was aroused by the Youth films competition which involves the participation of films of various genres by young directors.
The competition of feature and documentary films and the competition of the films for children "Listapadzik" received applications from both traditional partner countries of the Festival and new friends, which confirms the expansion of the Festival's geography. Films that have already received recognition at international film festivals will take part in the competition programs, as well as a number of premieres screenings.
Formation of competition programs and films selections will continue till the end of October after which the Directorate of the Film Festival will make a final decision on the films participating in the competition programs.
