New “Listapad” – new slogan, logo and visual image. This year, the MIFF will not only instill a taste for good cinema, but also unite people. Therefore, the slogan of the twenty-seventh festival is “Cinema is a symphony of unity”.

– Real art brings people together, teaches them to create, feel and love... Аs a result of this, the main goal of “Listapad” is to combine the widest range of forms and genres of cinematography into a harmonious symphony, – explains the idea of the director of the National Film Studio Belarusfilm Vladimir Karachevsky.

In total, the festival management received 273 applications from 54 countries. Among them are long-time friends and film partners of Belarus (Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Serbia), as well as countries of Western and Central Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. By the way, the greatest interest among directors and representatives of film companies was aroused by the competition of youth cinema "Cinema of the young".

The work on the preparation of competitive and non-competitive programs has been completed. 13 films will take part in the main feature film competition. Viewers of the “Listapadzik” film contest for children and youth audience will see one more tape. The main documentary film competition will be presented by 17 films. In turn, 23 films were selected for the youth cinema competition “Cinema of the Young”.

“The Listapad” non-competitive program also turned out to be extensive. This year it will be dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Belarusian animation and the anniversary of the classic of Russian cinema Viktor Turov. Master classes, creative meetings and a large round table on cinematography are also planned.

The names of the members and chairman of the jury of the main competitions are already known. So, the judging panel of the feature film competition will be headed by the famous Russian director, producer and screenwriter Renat Davletyarov. Natalia Marinova, director of the Belarus 3 TV channel, became the chairman of the documentary film competition. “Listapadzik” will be judged by the jury members under the leadership of the Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Yusup Razykov, and the jury headed by the director and producer from Russia Alexey Telnov is responsible for the ”Cinema of the Young”.

Screenings of competitive and non-competitive films will be held in five theaters of the capital: “Moscow”, “Belarus”, “Tsentralny”, “Pioneer”, “Dom kino”. According to the director of the “Kinovideoprokat” Pavel Skalaban, the ticket price will be absolutely affordable: from 4 to 7 rubles. Tickets will be available from November 12th.

The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will traditionally be hosted by “Moscow” Cinema.

It remains for us to remind that the XXVII “Listapad” Film Festival will be held from November 20 to 26 in Minsk and the regions. The organizer of the main film event of the year is the National Film Studio “Belarusfilm”. The founders of the forum are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the Minsk City Executive Committee with the participation of the Belteleradiocompany, the National Film Studio Belarusfilm, as well as the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
