At the opening ceremony, the Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus “For the preservation and development of traditions of spirituality” was awarded to director Igor Volchek.

The director, artist and guest of honor of the festival Nikolai Burlyaev, as well as the chairman of the jury Alexander Efremov made solemn speeches. The final chord was the symbolic breaking of the plate, which has already become a good tradition, giving a start to the cinema festival.

The drama “The Royal Game”, which is part of the main competition program of the festival, was chosen as the main opening film.
